About Us Quest Electronics was started in 1988 by Joe and Jan Raine who commenced designing and manufacturing custom equipment from home, as well as providing an equipment servicing facility for the Australian AV industry. Our first stock item was the HC3 video DA, many of which are still in use to this day! We have gained an enviable reputation for reliability and practical design. In 1992 Quest moved to a factory in Hornsby, NSW and operated very successfully from there until 2001 when we moved to the NSW Central Coast, gaining more space and a better lifestyle. Quest Electronics makes audiovisual equipment under the Quest AV brand and trades as Questronix. The Quest AV logo displayed in the banner on each page of this website and on our equipment, is comprised of the word ‘QUEST’ with a stylised tail in the ‘Q’ which is made from a lower - case ‘a’ and ‘v’ flowed together.
